Eric Michel Ministries International, a New Life Catholic Ministry, promotes Ecumenism, also called interdenominationalism or ecumenicalism, and has been a member of the Interdenominational Assembly of Church (and Para-Church) Association Ministry (IAoC) since 2017. Interdenominationalism is the principle that Christians from different denominations should work together to build closer relationships among their churches and promote Christian unity. The adjective ecumenical is thus applied to any non-denominational or inter-denominational initiative which encourages greater cooperation and union among Christian denominations and churches. Ecumenical dialogue is a central feature of contemporary Ecumenism.
The fact that all Christians in mainstream Christian denominations profess faith in Jesus, believe that God inspired the Bible (John 1:1), and receive baptism according to the Trinitarian formula is seen as a basis for Ecumenism and its goal of Christian unity. Ecumenists cite John 17:20–23 as the biblical grounds for striving for church unity. Jesus prays, “May all be one,” so that the world may know and believe the Gospel message.
Our members, in partnership, mainly belong to the African and Asian Pentecostal and Evangelical Churches and the African Methodist Church. A few are Baptists, and the Presbyterian Church (the only one). Our vision of the partnership is for ministers and believers in established churches and para-church from around the world to join forces with the Interdenominational Assembly of Churches in faith and agreement to form a worldwide network that will maintain a dynamic flow of ministries in support of church leaders and believers as they preach the gospel, and to enhance and strengthen through corporate fellowship and networking, to promote unity as Ephasien 4:5 and build collaborations that will provide spiritual support to the Body of Christ.
